Even geen mooie events, glam, reizen of business, maar een onderdeel dat heel belangrijk voor me is en een kant die jullie wellicht niet van mij kennen. Heb me nooit heel publiekelijk uitgesproken over discriminatie, diversiteit en politiek. Maar alle gebeurtenissen van de afgelopen maanden zijn mij ook niet in de koude kleren gaan zitten. Daarom schuif ik morgen aan bij de virtuele tafel van @ireneavogadri om als founder van @leadingasians het te hebben over de toenemende “Asian hate” sinds de start van de pandemie en de verschrikkelijke gebeurtenissen die de afgelopen weken hebben plaats gevonden in de US.

Ik heb heel veel bewondering voor Irene, die het concept dat in de US is gestart een eigen twist heeft gegeven en het dialoog aangaat op Instagram live om awareness te creëren voor diversiteit en om discriminatie te bestrijden in Nederland. Een eer dat @rogerbrunings mij na zijn inspirerende dialoog heeft voorgesteld en dat ik nu onderdeel mag zijn van de #sharethemicnownl community. ✨
